Artist Spotlight: Alva Leigh
We’re thrilled to announce a first for ArtWorld: the release of our very first vinyl — and it couldn’t be with a more inspiring artist.
Alva Leigh, a prolific Chattanooga-based musician, teamed up with Matt Ingram (Laura Marling, Florence & the Machine) to bring her new album Wilderness to life. The record is playful and dreamy, pure pop at its core — yet woven with lyrics that cut deep: vulnerable, piercing, and hopeful. It’s a meditation on love and fear, loneliness and expectation, loss and hope, grief and magic — all carried on melodies that shimmer with light.
Turns out there is catharsis in the making, and Alva mines her experience into a poignant statement of not only a mother’s passage and perseverance, but the multifaceted beauty of the human condition itself.
